Michael H. Watson is a principal of Wazuku Advisory Group, a leading Vancouver-based business solutions firm that specializes in strategic planning, advocacy, strategic communications and business advisory services. Through Wazuku, Mr. Watson brings his unique approach to leadership to help organizations build successful business strategies that achieve measurable results.
Prior to founding Wazuku Advisory Group, Mr. Watson was president and principal of Ignite Management Services Ltd., a consulting firm providing facilitation and strategic planning services to mid-size companies.
Raised in Trail, British Columbia, Mr. Watson moved to Vancouver in 1984 to attend at the University of British Columbia where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics. On completion of his degree, Mr. Watson joined the TD Bank where he spent the next fourteen years of his career in progressively senior management roles. He left TD Bank to join North Shore Credit Union where he served as vice president of retail banking overseeing the branch network, call centre, investment and insurance divisions, and marketing. In 2006, Mr. Watson left NSCU to form his own consulting firm, Ignite Management Services Ltd.
Throughout his career, Mr. Watson has been active in the community. Mike is a past chair of both the North Vancouver and the British Columbia Chambers of Commerce and currently sits as a director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. A proud resident of North Vancouver, he has served as a director of the Lion's Gate Hospital Foundation, and coached in both the Lynn Valley Soccer Association and North Shore Girls Soccer.
