Jacob Stein is a business development associate at Pacific Carbon Trust, part of the team responsible for sourcing and developing carbon offset projects and expanding the low-carbon economy in BC.

Jacob joins Pacific Carbon Trust after working as a Carbon Consultant with Stantec Consulting Inc., where he worked on a diverse portfolio of projects including developing greenhouse gas inventories and management plans and carbon reduction feasibility studies for a range of private and public sector clients. Jacob has also worked in the United Kingdom as a Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh Centre for Business & Climate Change and a Carbon Analyst at start-up company, ENDS Carbon.

Jacob currently holds an MSc in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh as well as a B.Comm from the University of Victoria.  He is pursuing an MBA through Queen’s University, scheduled to begin in January 2013. 

In his spare time, Jacob plays competitive ice hockey, runs, swims and enjoys travelling and backpacking as much as possible.
