To add further rigour and transparency to our offset transactions, Pacific Carbon Trust has selected the Markit Environmental Registry as its registry service provider.
Find out more.
The Pacific Carbon Standard (PCS) defines the requirements for developing high-quality offsets to be recognized as Pacific Carbon Units (PCU). The PCS is based on the BC Emission Offsets Regulation (EOR) established under the British Columbia Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets Act. To view the Pacific Carbon Standards requirements and PCU listing process, please visit the Pacific Carbon Standard page.
A PCU is our carbon offset credit that contains all of the financial and environmental benefits associated with the process of greenhouse gas reductions or sequestrations that generated the offset in accordance with the PCS.
The Markit Environmental Registry is the selected registry platform to list, serialize, transfer, retire and report on Pacific Carbon Standard PCUs.
