Our process streamlines procurements by inviting you to pre-qualify your project before making any investments, or financial commitments, to move it forward.

Before committing the time and resources required to implement an offset project, you can submit a non-binding pre-qualification proposal to Pacific Carbon Trust. We will assess it against our quality criteria, such as compliance with BC's Emission Offsets Regulation and ISO 14061-2 standards.
We will also look at the project's potential environmental impacts as well as its quantification protocol. At this stage, we are also interested in your preliminary offset pricing and volumes, as well as your anticipated delivery schedules.
Projects that successfully complete part one of the process will be added to PCT';s pre-qualified list. We provide one-on-one debriefing to all interested parties, regardless of whether or not their project was pre-qualifyed. If your project does not pre-qualify, we invite you to work with our business development team. It could be that, with additional work, your project can be successful in pre-qualifying.

It's important to note that pre-qualification does not guarantee that your final project proposal will meet all requirements; however, it should provide you with a reasonable degree of confidence about the viability of your project, and may support you in your decision to proceed with a feasibility analysis and the development of your formal project plan.
Part Two: PROJECT SELECTION
Does your project pre-qualify? In the second part of the process, you will be invited to propose your validated project plan to PCT's formal competitive selection process. Selected projects will be awarded contracts to sell offsets to PCT. Selection is based on review of validated project plans, firm pricing, volumes and delivery schedules.
