 Current Opportunities

The Government of British Columbia has committed to reducing BC's greenhouse gas emissions - and BC companies are also working to reduce their carbon footprint. To meet this demand, Pacific Carbon Trust is actively sourcing up to 1 million tonnes of carbon offsets annually. This presents significant new economic opportunities for businesses across multiple sectors.

 Open Calls

April 1, 2010 - #PCT-2379-1, 2 and 3 - Call for GHG Offset Projects

Pacific Carbon Trust is launching a new call for qualified offset projects that are at differing stages of development; and replaces our previous call (#PCT 2376).

Pacific Carbon Trust now offers project proponents three (3) distinct entry points in our procurement process:

  • Before the project plan has been validated (#PCT-2379-3)
  • After the project plan has been validated (#PCT-2379-2); and
  • After greenhouse gas reductions have been verified (#PCT-2379-1)

Each of these entry points leads to an evaluation of the project by Pacific Carbon Trust. At each of these entry points PCT may choose to enter into term sheets, letters of intent or offset purchase agreements with project proponents, providing the clarity around pricing and volume structures necessary to accelerate the pace of offset project development in BC.

Evaluations of projects entering through this procurement call are ongoing, and interested project developers are encouraged to contact procurement@pacificcarbontrust.com with any questions.
